Courses in Spanish Language and Culture for Foreign Students

Contents

Grammatical, functional, lexical and sociocultural contents are taught.

In order to work on these contents, they are integrated into the classes:

  • Communicative competencies: linguistic, discursive, strategic and sociolinguistic.
  • Communicative, learner-centered programming.
  • Comprehension, oral and written expression and interaction tasks.

 

Activities

In addition, classes on Spanish culture are given and guided visits are made to the different monuments of the city. Likewise, excursions are organized to different places in the Autonomous Community of Aragon.

All these activities are included in the enrolment fee.

 

Schedule

From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (with breaks between hours). Cf. Information of interest.

 

Level Test

Before the beginning of each course, students take a test outside of school hours, which is used to place them in their corresponding language level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

 

Places

Places are limited. Students must confirm availability before registering and making payment.

 

Enrolment

The tuition fee includes class materials, exam fees and the certificate of achievement (for students who have attended at least 85% of the classes and passed the relevant tests).

It should be noted that attendance is compulsory and absences, regardless of the cause, cannot exceed 15% of the duration of the course.

Annual course

Zaragoza, from 18 September 2023 to 17 May 2024.

Official date of the final evaluation test: Wednesday, 8 May 2024.

Tentative dates 

Zaragoza, from September 09, 2024 to May 21, 2025

  • 770 hours: 575 classroom and 195 non-classroom hours
  • Credits: 6 ECTS by the University of Zaragoza (for foreign students and Erasmus)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Planned tuition fee for the academic year 2024-2025: 1,970 €

The annual course can be paid in installments, as follows:

315 € at the time of registration.

1,655 € 15 days before the start of the course.

Admission certificates for visa applications are subject to full payment of the course fee.

Three-month course

 

Tentative dates 

Zaragoza, from September 09 to December 13, 2024

  • 335 hours: 250 lecture hours and 85 non-attendance hours
  • Credits: 2.5 ECTS by the University of Zaragoza (for foreign students and Erasmus)
  • Schedule: from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m
  • Planned tuition fee for the academic year 2024-2025: 1,010 €

Official date of the final evaluation test: Wednesday, December 4.

Four-month course

Zaragoza, from 08 January to 17 May 2024.

Official date of final assessment test: Wednesday, 8 May 2024.

Tentative dates  

Zaragoza, from January 7 to May 21, 2025

  • 435 hours: 325 lecture hours and 110 non-attendance hours
  • Credits: 3.5 ECTS from the University of Zaragoza (for foreign and Erasmus students).
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Planned tuition fee for the academic year 2024-2025: 1,200 €

Note: Three additional holidays in addition to those included in the academic calendar will be determined at a later date, depending on the work calendar.

 

Other courses

Zaragoza, from September 2023 to July 2024.

Official date of the final evaluation test: Monday, 17 June 2024.

Special courses are offered for Asian students, according to agreement.

Spanish Language and Culture Courses or Spanish Courses for specific purposes, outside the program, are organized for those Universities or Institutions that request them (Ca'Foscari University of Venice, Sassari, Nantes, etc.).
